Were you able (as a South African citizen) to vote in the 2006 Local Elections?

Before the last South African General Elections, there were rumours that expats couldn’t vote. Was anybody able to cast their vote for the recent local elections?
I’m pretty sure expats can’t vote in those elections.
On another note, I see that there have been anti-ANC riots in the townships. People are getting pretty sick of still not receiving what they were promised more than 10 years ago. Good news… those bloodsucking parasites in the ANC government need to get a wake-up call.

It’s strange how soon they’ve become like the former blood-sucking regime. I hope it won’t take forty years before they clean up their act. There are people who didn’t benefit from the former regime’s policies and neither will they from this one’s.
