Sponsor a beehive in Taiwan

I got one of those nests in my stairwell. They just finished it. Look forward to seeing some baby wasps soon.

call the fire department. They should be able to handle taking away the nest or dealing with it (they did for ours a few years ago). Or, at least, they’ll direct you to the gov’t agency that does it.

I’m a bear, wasps don’t scare me.

The goal of this action … is not really to 'produce ‘honey’… but to save bees and beekeepers.
Many of them are depressed and don’t dare to invest any more.
The concept that the customer buys a finished product, and that the producer handles all the risks indirectly created by the customer, … should stop. I wish the customer could share some responsibility in the process.

Ni life insurance

The beekeeper will do his best to raise the bees and produce honey
but there are still some dangers and risks.
Pesticides is the main issue.

I am not planning to create an insurance
The producer and the customer will share the responsibility

This is a concept that I am developing not only for my neighbor and me… but also for all beekeepers in Taiwan

With my neighbor, with this extra cash, we can welcome and take care of 3 more beehives each.

I wish other beekeepers use this method to also increase their business

My farm is on 東坑路 / DongKen Road
above 東勢區 / Dongshi District
on the way to 大雪山國家森林遊樂區 / Daxueshan National Forest Recreation Area

These are Italian bees

They sting only if you threaten them, for example, open the box too quickly or in some rare occasions… such they don’t like the rain. It stresses them.

Usually, three days of recovery and then… nothing left

Let me study that…

tax receipts for the maintenance fee

A friend of mine runs his farm as a business. Let me ask him

Thanks for your support.
Very good remark. I appreciate

call the fire department.

wow,

good feedback

Thanks all

I am planning a beekeeping workshop in September

lecture and workshop given by a professional
城市養蜂 Urban Beekeeping on Facebook

and launch of ‘sponsor a beehive’ on that day

ap-behive

I think when I put a hive on our building rooftop people will go crazy. WHAT? BEES?

Dang. I was thinking this was about sponsoring a Yenshui Beehive.

The bees area is in the hills East of Taichung city

The only difference between these two offers (there was a third one, Local Ownership but we deleted) is that, in the first, you buy the box and the bees, so, if you don’t need our help to maintain the beehive, you can come and take your beehive anywhere you want. It’s yours.

edit: Yearly maintenance fee: 3000 NT (instead of 2000 in first draft)

How to get involved
You invest in one or more beehives and in the caretaking of them. By your choice, you can own the bees and the equipment or not.

Remote Ownership:
You own the beehive(s) and the hives will be placed by us
Features:
• You own the bees and hive equipment.
• Beehive(s) is/are placed by us. No traveling costs will be charged.
• You own the honey harvested
• You can decide to move the hive at any time. However, additional traveling costs may then apply.
Estimated cost:
Wooden Box: 2500 NT
A colony of bees 6 Frames 2500 NT
Hive equipment: NA
Yearly maintenance fee: 3000 NT (instead of 2000 in first draft)

Remote Sponsorship:
You sponsor one or more beehives with no ownership involved and the hives will be placed by us.
Features:
• You sponsor the operation of one or more bee hives without any responsibility of ownership.
• You own the honey harvested
• The beehive(s) is/are placed by us.
Estimated cost:
Hive equipment: NA
Yearly maintenance fee: 3000 NT (instead of 2000 in first draft)

I might want one or half day beekeeper program with an instructor on weekend once per year.

I have invited an excellent teacher
…Urban Beekeeping
for a workshop about beekeeping on my farm
similar to the one I managed last year
Any beekeeper here?
The date is not decided yet
certainly mid September
Keep in touch

I am looking for a template of a contract between the two parties
Something simple and clear and like a renting contract both in English and in Chinese
What do you suggest?
