I just made a similar kind of thread, mine was more specifically about placing a bet on the World Series. What problem are you having? I had the issue of shit customer service, despite the fact that I know exactly how to place my bet, they still couldn’t help me out.

google chrome wasn’t so great. Same for me, worldseries and some other sports - US football. Service in person was complete shit for me too. My girl doesnt understand sports betting at all so no help there.
You can’t bet on US football. Only MLB, NBA, and soccer.
It might be too late to bet on the World Series, or the odds are much lower. I picked my teams just before the post season started. I went to another one and they finally gave me the bets I wanted to make. It was on a Saturday around 7-8pm, if that helps. Pittsburgh already lost, but that was kind of a long shot Cinderella team thing. Oh well, only 500 NT.
Before they kept saying that there was no way to place a bet around 7-8pm on a weekday night. Not sure why, that would make it very early in the morning in the USA, and no teams would be playing, so it’s not like the odds would be in limbo while they await the outcome of the games being played. But perhaps that’s the time when the odds are being recalculated. I have no idea. I tried asking and asking if they asked what the reason was, or when I could come back and place my bet, but they had no answer for that, and no answer for why they didn’t ask when they called someone to find out for me.
they are not very helpful at all. Better off doing this online with a legit book on a island with a physical casino.
Which banks work with betting sites online?
I tried to signed up on www.bet365.com and tried to use my CTBC debit card and it didn’t work.
They have a credit card option too, tried to use my Cathay card and nope.
Error message says “Unfortunately, for reasons beyond our control, this card cannot be used to make deposits to online gaming companies”

What a fascinating quandary. One would suppose that the banks are using an algorithm to pick up on the IP address. Just spitballing, but perhaps a VPN might bypass that issue? The worse case scenario would be that the bank’s algorithm were sophisticated enough to include all VPN IP addresses and would reject the transaction.
The attempt to place funds on the gambling site would not be in any way illegal, AFAIK, but of course one would be a total cad and bounder if one were to then place bets while in Taiwan.

I contacted bet365 and they said they have received bets from KGI bank, Cathay united bank and Yuanta Commercial Bank
Are you confident the person you contacted fully understood that you were talking about transactions to a gambling website from the ROC? Because I am almost certain (never 100% in Taiwan, of course) that no bank will allow that to be processed.
No bank will process a transaction on an IP address in a gambling restricted country. The gambling websites won’t accept bets from these IP addresses either.
