I tried to log on to spotify from a different computer and got this message in Chinese. Spotify for 19 NT for three months after one month at 149. I guess I’m not eligible. Anyway. I like the service because it seems to have the most complete catalog of Taiwan and international hits (Israel, US, France are my interest) then any other one. Though it is lacking in song lyrics for many Chinese older songs and western songs.
I just though I’d let you know. If existing members are eligible , please let me know. I’m already a paid member and 149 to have music on tap is not a bad deal.
I recently purchased a Google Home after visiting the states and now I’m in quite the pickle. I need Spotify premium (or some other music streaming app) to be able to play music on them. I’ve narrowed it down to Spotify since the other services aren’t that great.
My question is, aside from the local mando-pop music, does Spotify Taiwan block (or get blocked) by major US record labels? I tried logging on yesterday and every single song was not playable, apparently I need premium to play any kind of music? I thought there was a free version?
I know the 149NT/month is a steal, but if I can’t listen to music of my interest (Top 40 and EDM), I think I’ll just suck it up and use the free Google Music app.
You can listen to everything on the Premium version, apart from a few artists like Prince who has their content removed. I can not live without Spotify, especially the Discover Weekly feature.
Compatibility/sync with PC and downloading music straight to my phone is also pretty awesome. I can finally move into the future!
I only reason I didn’t pick it up earlier was because I scooter commute, so I rarely listen to music on commutes, except for those 10C high days in the winter. However, it would be nice to have during work, lunch or on trips.
I listen to music when I work and in the gym. I cant live without Spotify. If you havent tried the premium service before, why dont you try for one month and then cancel if you dont like it
I think I’ve already done the free trial. However, I think the 19NT for first 3 months deal is going on right now.
I just wanted to make sure that I would be getting the songs I wanted to listen to.
I cycle and music while on the bike, going through Taipei traffic is a big no go for me. However, the subscription will definitely help when I’m gaming!
Interesting because I tested both and couldn’t get it free (with ads) on my PC and my phone. GF had the same issue with the phone.
I think it might be time to pay up.
TBH, it’s worth every penny. I wasn’t one for paying for music and just listened to music and burned CDs from a decade ago, but almost 90% of the songs I have in my library are on Spotify and much much more.
I just started Spotify on Mac a few days ago. Could be available limited time i don’t know yet but it works now with ads and keeps asking me to upgrade to premium to get all options but I’m fine with this if it lasts.
