DUBAI: The pilot of a FlyDubai flight stabbed another pilot and tried to crash the plane full of Israelis, Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday.
The Israeli prime minister said passengers and crew members on the flight managed to subdue the attacker, preventing a “major disaster.”
Another air crew member on the plane entered the cockpit and “managed to stabilize the aircraft,” Netanyahu said. FlyDubai said a fight between pilots on the plane traveling from Dubai International Airport to Israel’s Ben Gurion forced the aircraft to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk airport.
“The aircraft was successfully secured by on-duty FlyDubai crew traveling on the flight, who diverted and landed the aircraft safely at Tabuk Airport,” the airline said. “All passengers and crew are safe and accounted for.”
Good that the plane landed in Saudi. That means the guilty co-pilot can be given the chop.
In the least, his pilot license should be revoked.

There was the Indian plane crash a while back where the fuel was set to off at takeoff but he denied he did it when the other pilot asked him what are you doing , these pilots aren’t all geniuses .
I read the pilot being axed managed to unlock the door himself.

The UAE government subsequently officially confirmed the meeting, saying they discussed UAE–Israel relations and strengthening bilateral ties.
The interesting part is that it was initially kept secret. Reports say Netanyahu spent roughly six hours in the UAE. Israeli reporting says Iran and regional security were major subjects.

In the initial story, IIRC the pilot that was stabbed (is he even ok?) was a UAE national, not an Indian national, and the initial report was that passengers somehow, miraculously, breached the post 9-11 cockpit - an impossibility that most likely led to the later story modification of the stabbed pilot opening it up.
BTW, how the hell did a knife get inside the plane, in a 2026 ME flight, supposedly under heightened alert? Ohhh right, complaints from other Israelis that Netanyahu wasn’t sharing intel of such a threat with them. Almost like this walking shitbag thrives on this stuff.
