Starbucks Cinnamon Rolls Suck, so what are the alternatives?

Sounds like a good philosophy.

Looks like there are Beltons all over the world…just not in Taiwan.

This place has a good one. Sweet, sticky, buttery, dense. Small, but only 50NT

I SECOND THIS.

Caveat: The shop is deep in Tienmu, on Shidong Road, so it may not be on everyone’s daily route.

That’s not all that looks good there.

That joint is a hole in the wall, absolutely unfancy looking and easy to miss, but serving real food, with no nonsense whatsoever.

Not a cinnamon roll, but this place has great cinnamon croissants. Plenty of butter, sugar, and cinnamon:

They look really really good with lots of icing. Near Botanical Gardens.

I was browsing 104, and they are hiring for someone to be a representative for Cinnabon, which I hope that’s a sign they’re bringing it to Taiwan!

If they tried to sell that stuff here, I don’t think they’d last more than a couple of years . . .

Our incoming Vice President keeping it real in Taichung with her choice of cinnamon buns—from a shop called Hima Cafe. I love it!

They have either moved or have a second location just south of Yongkang Park. No. 42號, Lane 243, Jinhua St, Da’an District, Taipei City, 106.

They have glazed and unglazed. Also good banana bread.

Seconded. They are pretty sweet, but if that’s your type, this place is pretty good.
