Stupid me has no tax receipts

My “Address” is someone else’s house. And he is currently in the US. There is no way to get my receipts. My employers always withhold. Is there still a possibility of me getting my refund?

I had da man call ShiJhi (where my “address” is) and they said to go to Taipei. When I went to the Taipei office, they said to go to ShiJhi…

I have no experience in exactly that matter, but try to do the round again, but this time get the name and phone number for each person you talk to. When you are asked to go back where you came from, tell the person to call and explain to the other person why you have to go back… -Let them sort it out by themself.

Go to any tax office with your ARC and ask them to print out your reported income. They prefer you to use the tax withholding slips (kou4jiao3 ping2dan1) but in fact you can just use the print out to file your taxes.

Good news Such a Fob (and everyone else)

Last year, I had to run around collecting each and every kou jiao ping dan as I was unable to get the tax ladies to process my return without them.

This year the volunteers (who do your tax returns for you - though mine made a minor mistake which the real tax lady caught) explained that the printout was enough.

You could talk to your employer - they usually keep copies of withholding statements, I think. And copies are fine.

I do contract labor. I have MANY employers.

Hooray!!! :bravo:

Thank you for telling me that! :notworthy:

So I just go to the tax office where I file, and they will print it all out for me, right then and there?

Magic!

It’s true. I actually had all my receipts with me and they didn’t even look at them; just the printout. Same for the passport; seems they knew how many days I’ve been on the island without even having to look at it.
