15 years. I just hate starting new threads.
I called one of the assistants here by my wife’s name. I was kind of walking toward her and saying her name (uh, well not exactly hers) was superfluous, if this makes any sense. I don’t think she heard it. I hope not anyway. My wife would be so pissed off if she knew.

I think that’s what I gotta do. Just start calling everyone “honey”… my students, my director, my work colleagues (male and female)… Larry comes through again!

I can’t call everyone by my wife’s name. That would be weird.
Once you’ll get to my age, you’ll call everyone by your wife’s name. On the plus side, that eliminates the need to remember lots of names.
