I’ve looked into it and I see that subletting an apartment is illegal only if the original owner is unaware of it, I am considering buying up many apartment contacts with a sublease agreement, furnishing them, then subletting/subleasing them as furnished apartments. I guess my only question is, has anyone heard of success doing this?

There are rules (somewhere) about this sort of thing, if you do it as a business instead of just personal affairs. The government doesn’t like unregistered hotels and so on, for various reasons.
