Whoever is taking over forumosa, here’s my two cents of realigning the forums. In essence, I think the site needs to reduce, not increase, the number of forums:
Merge the “Health” forum, which hardly gets any hits, into “Living in Taiwan”
Merge the “Film and Books” forum, which again gets few hits despite starting off strong, into “Culture and History.”
Instead of having some dozen legal forums, have one, and then have it split into sub-folders. Right now, it takes up way to much space on the forums page.
Create a forum – “International politics,” “The Forum for People Who Take Themselves Too Seriously,” whatever – and put all of the stuff re: Iraq, Korea, Sao Tome and Principe, and Liberia in there.
