Many apartment complexes have the same rule that says the owner must keep the pets feet off the elevator floor. If you have a large dog then a large stroller is the only way to go.
Yeah exactly, mine is a bit bigger, but I just park it outside of my building while I go walk her. I do find it somewhat silly, coming from a few countries where dogs were allowed pretty much everywhere without strollers, but I donāt make the rules here, I just follow them.
That said, for the original poster, if your budget can allow Xitun district near the opera house, I think thatās probably your best bet for having a GSD. At the price point you are paying for an apartment or house here, you can pretty much demand anything you want.
Some people are pathologically terrified of dogs, and being trapped in an elevator with no where to retreat and a large dog can just walk up to you, thatās probably traumatic for them. So I guess thatās what the rule is for. Although, some are so terrified, they would have a hard time even if the dog is inside the stroller.
I donāt live in Taipei now, but it seems like there are some dog park options.
