I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how I can go about getting a temporary summer teaching job, for June/July/August. I’m interested in teaching anything, I’m a literature teacher but can teach writing and/or English. Is it possible that teachers need someone to take over their jobs temporarily for a few months? Would anyone know where I can advertise?

I think it would be very, very difficult to get a legal short-term job in Taiwan. Most, if not all, schools/buxibans/etc won’t invest in the paperwork. It might be possible to do subbing though. I picked up a few jobs before I got my job.
There used to be summer camps that would only last for the school vacation period. If they still exist it’s the period of the year that you’re most likely to get short-term work.
