I regularly play pick the score on Superbru . They have regular rugby tourny pick the score games for the end of year tour, Currie Cup, Super 14 and Tri-Nations. They also have for F1, football and cricket, if you’re interested.
Currently I’ve signed up for the November end of year tour to Europe, mostly concerning Argentina, Aus, NZ and SA, but they’re also featuring games between these sides and provincial teams, all the tests and also some of the island sides like Fiji that will be touring up north this year.
When you sign up you are allocated a default pool, which is nice, but the pool is full of strangers. You can also create your own pools. For several competitions I’ve had the Tainan Rugby Club running, but the guys don’t always play and it gets boring when it’s just me pitted against the wife (who knows bugger all about rugby, but who still gamely advances her picks for consideration - and scarily she sometimes beats me!).
So, I’ve also created a Forumosa Rugby Club pool and would like to invite you guys to pit your picking skills against mine for the November tours up north. The series kicks off with Aus vs NZ in Tokyo on Oct 31st.
My hope is that we can have a regular thing going and that you guys will use your Forumosa handles for the pools so we can rib each other on the forum about our picks. The game is simple. You pick a winner and a margin for each game. At the end of each round of play the player in each pool with the most points gets the Yellow Cap for the week.
All in all it’s good fun.
