Not a surf film. A surf photo. Two miles off the Perth coast. Pro surfer races a 500 lb great white.

Yeek! Outer reefs off Perth, as in Perth Australia? Seal island? I used to surf there as a kid. Getting there was a real challenge, as it required paddling out to hitch a ride with a boat. Mercifully I always managed to hitch a ride, but if you didn’t it was a 3km paddle back to shore and all the while wondering if you’d be eaten. This wasn’t helped by a mate getting a bite taken out of his board by a ten ft tiger shark one morning. Luckily for him he was just off shore.
