Still working on the website.
I got my first taste of swing last Wednesday. It was pretty fun. You feel like you’re in a WWII movie.
Are there any other places to do Swing in Taipei?
Do people dress for this? And is it open for the severely double-sinister podiaristically challenged? I gots the gear, but I also gots two left feet.
No, people don’t dress up. Dance in T-shirts and diapers if you want. The classes are for total beginners. I think it’s 200 NT at the door which includes the lesson and a drink.
OK, I got the website thing down.
SWING AT ESCAPE
Swing’s just starting out now in Taiwan. It’s about like the salsa scene was 4 years ago: a handful of people. Jon’s really passionate about it and gives some good lessons - teaching several moves each time. Plus he has an awesome collection of swing music.
