Taekwondo in Taipei?

Just wondering if anyone could recommend a good WTF TKD club in Taipei. I wandered into budomart the other day and after the use of some very poor mandarin managed to get quite a large list of clubs; all in chinese.

It is obviously very popular here (as a result of all those gold medals?) but I have no idea where i should start looking.

Cheers,

j

At my club we do WTF and martial arts. You don’t need to be a Chinese speaker and there are other foreigners (like me) at the club. You will get a very good workout from a very experienced coach. Please give my coach a call at 0225177237 or drop by the training center. The center is on Sonjiang rd, south of Hsintian Temple on Miquan road and Sonjiang road intersection, on the east side of the street. It is just south of a massage/barber shop. You can see a poster within the doorway that has additional information.

cool.

when i’ve finished tying up my new place i’ll drop in. It doesnt look too far away from where i will (hopefully) be living in shilin.

thanks

btw what other martial arts do you practice at your club?

while i love tkd it would be interesting to try something new such as jujitsu, judo or a mma.

WTF is WTF?

WTF stands for World Taekwondo Federation. It’s the type of taekwondo you see at the olympics.

Taekwondo…? You mean kicking in the air. Why not try a real martial art form like Kyokushin karate.

sigh

If i wanted to get into the whole “my martial arts can kick your martial arts ass” I would have posted this in a different forum.

Fact is I enjoy practising taekwondo and I also appreciate a whole range of other ma including kickboxing, jujitsu and mma.

Your post would have probably gone done a little better ten years ago when everyone went through this bs with ufc.

ouch… Full contact. Not bad for a taekwondo guy
