Taichung based parents - Our sons are 7 & 5 ('01 & '03)

Anyone interested in having their kids get together with ours?

We just got here (at the end of August 2008)… and while my wife is Taiwanese, & I speak Mandarin fluently … they don’t.

Welcome to Taiwan/Forumosa.

I can’t answer your question, as we live in Taipei, but I can tell you we’ve had great experiences in Taichung with our kid. Take your kids to the [url=http://tw.forumosa.com/t/got-kids-take-em-to-taichung/27623/1 Art Museum (with lots of hands-on, interactive play) and Science Museum[/url]. They should love both of them. Ours did.

Appreciate it! ’

Taichung will be fun - as my wife was born & raised in Fong Yuan (a suburb) … and I lived in Fong Yuan for 2 1/2 years in the 90s … so getting to make more friends in Taichung as well as finding all new haunts to visit will not only be the objective for me and my wife, but for the boys.

If you get a chance to get to San Jose - visit the Children’s Discovery Museum & the Tech Museum. Both are awesome for kids & adults alike.
