Probally yes, but still seems old to me now, just did not know it was 23%. Here in Kao-Tainan I feel has more youth (but still getting old) after revisiting Taipei, when I was in Taipei I thought it was younger 9but not).

English language schools tend to be doing ok in Hsinchu , which is probably due to a mix of youth and wealth.

A lot of landlords don’t allow tenants to register, or at least not without a rent increase. It really skews the census.

In the daytime and especially weekdays Kaohsiung sometimes feels like an open air old folks home. Tainan has more students I guess. You see way more old people ‘playing’ in the parks than kids, and teens are as rare as hens teeth (as they are hothoused in education establishments).

Yeah I know — no need to explain that. It doesn’t affect what I wrote though, and it doesn’t make your claim of them not being counted any more accurate.

Again, they’re just counted in the wrong place, but they’re still included in the HHR statistics. They don’t just get excluded from the HHR statistics because they’re still registered somewhere else. It’s fundamentally different from resident foreigners and NWOHRs.

Intelligent people tend to have less kids with a higher survival rate. However, a mother living in social housing can have around 7. I know one mother who has seven and another who has 4 all on social housing. I guess it depends which society they’re born into.

I also think kids from poor/big familes with do very well or stay poor. Nowdays rich kids spend more time in Maserati (a saw a lot in Taiwan, surprised by young drivers) or a Benz and less time doing real work.

I guess maybe two generations ago survival rate mattered, it seems a very high number for all now.

Yes, but the landlord may say the real number of people living there for various reasons. (Could say the people living there are visiting or something like that)
