I was wandering around the Taipei County Government building (the enormous gray building opposite the Banqiao Train Station) last night and discovered that the entire 32nd floor is an observation area that offers 360-degree views of the surrounding area.
There’s no admission fee, and the floor is open until 10 p.m.
It’s worth a look if you happen to be in Banqiao.
The top floor has a restaurant; but I’m not sure if it’s open yet.
