I seem to recall that (#1) in 1913 Taiwan was part of Japan, hence (#2) at that point, the sovereignty of Taiwan was a non-disputed issue . . . .
WOW, that is quite different from today!
The dictionary is a complete waste of digital space. There are plenty of dictionaries online nowadays.
