Yo dudes.
So, I’m going to Taipei in two weeks, and am going to meet up with a special someone. I was wondering if you all had any suggestions about where two kids could go in Taipei that is a bit less… packed with people… cool
thanks

What do you like to do? What do you have in mind? Will you have access to a car?
I will have access to a cab… which is a car, I guess… I place somewhat close to an MRT station would be best.
I’ll looking for a place sort of private… a place to chill.
There are some nice, safe playgrounds.
it is great advice like this that convinced my to join this forum
Maybe you can be a bit more specific. Are you looking for a romantic dinner, a coffee shop, nice scenery … ? And how old are you (since you call yourself ‘kids’)?
an outdoor nice scenery typed place would be nice.
As far as my age, I could pass for 20 here in Taiwan, and so could she.
I often get asked if I am an English teacher, to which I reply, no, student. They ask which university, and when I say I’m in high-school it is a serious 吃驚
I really take the 老 in laowai, hehe

Yangmingshan would be nice if you just want to stroll around but there are some nice cafes/restaurants up there.
Some offer a nice view on Taipei. You can take the bus or a taxi to get up there.
Or try Maokong in the South (easily reached by bus from the Zoo), with it’s tea plantations. It also has a nice view on Taipei.
