Taiwan Campus Folk... I want to learn more

“I went to the United States, and I went to Spain; young people around the world are drinking Coca-Cola and are singing songs that are in English,” he said, according to one report.[7] And then he added, “May I ask you where our own songs are?” And ended by shouting, “Why don’t you sing your own songs? Let’s sing our own songs!” Uttering these words, he smashed the Coke bottle – something that everyone clearly understood as a symbolic gesture of protest. I’ve been getting into the Taiwan Folk and Taiwan Campus folk playlists on spotify recently.
I’ve actually liked this style of music since I came here but my awareness increased after learning more Chinese.
Apparently, it was a big movement.
Are there any documentaries, films books, that I could rope a local friend into reading with me?
Are there vestiges still around?
Any foreigners who also like and collect this music?
