This I don’t believe I have ever seen before. Does anyone have a good historical source or contemporary argument to back this up?

(This US nationality status would be similar to what the people in Guam or Puerto Rico enjoyed after the Spanish American War.) However it seems that this has gotten much more serious and has now developed…
