I am thinking of doing a cheap and dirty trip to mainland China and I have read that the cheapest way is to go to Jinmen and then get the ferry accross to xiamen.
Does anyone have anymore information about this including costs etc.

The basics have been covered elsewhere, but book online with transasia Airlines and it’s only NT1500 or so each way (usually only one flight a day though). It’s around NT800 to take the ferry over and Y160 to take it back.
There are two ferry terminals in Xiamen. One is close to the airport (and has a shuttle that waits outside the terminal after each ferry arrival) and the other close to downtown. Forget which is which but has written about it elsewhere.
