Taiwan population decline

They’ve been trying to figure this out with no success or real willpower for 20 years. Meanwhile the trend is only getting trendier as the negative feedback cycle kicks in big time. Did you actually look at the population chart ?
We’re out of time

Brace for impact :frowning:

just be sure not to depend too much on things that require a bigger number of younger kids like any kind of social security.

heck - will teaching be around in the next decade? It already doesn’t pay enough….

Maybe the solution is education?

it over for western world… bec…

On the bright side now, the Chinese from the People’s republic I have no reason to be in a hurry,

An expected National Development Council (NDC) report expects the nation’s population to drop below 12 million by 2065

While.true China’s birthrate is also plummeting, yes they can make up the numbers for their army for a while yet lol.
The robot army wars are only five to ten years off IMHO anyway.

Will we eventually see this in Taiwan?

Would Taiwanese parents transfer all of their assets to children before they die? Seems to me they would hold onto these things so they could hold them over their children’s heads as long as possible….

But they’re not having children…

Countries are in a prolonged war of attrition and industrial countries with a solid demographic will prevail.

None?

Yes Mike. You are right

Taiwan elderly warn each other not to hand over property before they die.

Wow you can’t make this shit up lol

27th month.

Worldwide figure in 2024 was 2.25 and shrinking….

Taiwan’s figures are terrible….

Make affordable homes for those with two or more young children. Part buy /part rent homes , like housing associations used to do in the UK .Having even a small garden might be nice. Kids could plant flowers and play outside.

It’s over, a done deal. Other than human rights abuses there’s nothing that can be done. It’s all about how to manage super aged societies now.
