Into the train, sorry. The train cars.
Incredible! But I guess this has happened before?
The water levels of Taipei’s Xindian River have been low for quite some time now, revealing the river bed here and there. If you cross the Sunshine Bridge at the Sunshine Sports Park you can spot tons of fish in the shallow water, some of them huge, some of them huge and dead. The herons have a feast.
They drew big crowds at the new dam in Bitan, traffic jams of fish on the fish ladder to Bitan lake.
Some of those fish are ginormous. Up to a meter or so.
TAiwan does thunder and lightning exceptionally well
I stopped by during my bike ride the other day. No more crowds with just a few fish in the water. Hope they made it upstream to spawn. Still didn’t see any fish in that aquarium window under the fish ladder.
Seems like today was the unofficial start of the hot weather season in Northern Taiwan. First time it fell uncomfortably warm in my Taipei apartment without resorting to a/c or at least a strong fan.
Looks like temps will steadily rise through the weekend until peaking at summer levels Tuesday before some rain cools things off again for a bit.
Time to break out the 5 day deodorant pads? So long cool spring temps Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.
New aircon will be delivered to my home just in time tomorrow morning.
