I am hoping to start teaching in Korea next year and because I have lived in Taiwan for more than 6 months I will apparently need to get a Taiwanese background check in addition to my American background check. Does anyone know how I go about doing this? And whether or not it’s possible to get one that’s in English?
Probably the easiest thing you will ever have done.
Go to the police station and bring some cash.
I had to do this when applying for my APRC. Taiwanese background check can be done at the local police station. I’d advise going to the biggest one if you need English. I got mine done in Banqiao at the new Taipei city police main headquarters. They spoke English somewhat. As for the American FBI check, that can be done at the AIT.
