In brief: Power Station (Dongli Huoche), Jay Chou (Zhou Jielun), FIR, Chang Chen-yueh (Zhang Zhenyue). Now I’d also add Stanley Huang (Huang Lixing), although I’m not sure if he’s Taiwanese technically. I think he’s an ABC, but whatever. Wu Bai, too, definitely. Shin (Xin Yuetuan) almost make it… I’m still not too sure about them. Mayday get big props too, especially for 1) writing their own stuff, 2) playing their own instruments, and 3) singing in Taiwanese and still being popular. Six Plus (Liujia Yuetuan) I also quite like. Not so much for their talent, although they aren’t that bad, but more for having the balls to be a little different.
