We all did. Guess which emblem is on “Taiwan’s” Olympic flag?

Yeah, and our referendum to apply for a name and flag change to the IOC failed…

The one on the right looks like the KMT emblem.
Which one looks like the Apple logo then?

The one on the right.
Minnesota chose a new flag, which is not exactly in the list of the finalists, so I don’t know how it’s chosen. The sad part is it looks worse than the most similar flag in the final list.
I like this video because it went over a lot of the designs and at least discussed their merits without being too obnoxious about it.
Regardless, several flags proposed through out the process look very very similar to proposals for a new flag of Taiwan that I’ve seen in the past. The time stamp that I’ve chosen has a proposal that’s obviously taken from Taiwanese memes. Either the person who submitted it is Taiwanese, or is familiar with anti-Taiwanese independence memes.
I liked the old flag. That Indian riding away on horseback looks a lot happier than the settler sweating behind the plow.
Pretty sure that’s one detail one could hardly notice with the flag hoisted high up on a pole and flapping in the wind.
It’s been a while. Tapa cloth leaf inspired flag.
Adjusted the color scheme a little.
Adding the magpie design to the tapa cloth leaf design.
Inspired by a jade ware fragment that looks to be a big circle with 4 smaller circular cutouts, which I posted in this thread before.
Marshall Islands really know how to do flags. That’s the new flag for the Arno Atoll, with a population barely over 1,000.
Hey, look, web archive backed up the old google plus community.
I have to say after all these years, I have not seen an alternative flag proposal that looks better than the KMT flag. I know that flag has a lot of baggage but it’s pretty bad ass looking.
The only other one I like isn’t new, it’s the republic of Formosa flag for the novelty.
That the logo for the alternative online shopping website to Amazon that I’be been looking for.
So… I did it. Didn’t accomplish everything I set out to do. I was thinking about integrating a discourse forum to power the discussion board and comments for each flag design. However, apparently just running discourse alone requires 2GB of RAM, and I’m only paying for the domain name at the moment.
