Taking alcohol in checked baggage?

Hi people!
MY FRIEND GAVE ME A BOTTLE OF 375ML JACK DANIELS AND IM NOT GONA DRINK IT ON THE SPOT THE DAY BEFORE IM LEAVING SO I GOTTA TAKE IT WITH ME.
AND FIRST IM HITTING HONG KONG. Can I carry an alcohol in my checked baggage here?

Sure. No one checks, unless you ask them to.

Bring two bottles, of better stuff.

Jack is easily available in Taiwan, so you’re not really saving anything. Bring a rare single malt scotch, or a small batch bourbon, and give it to me. I’ll trade it for two bottles of jack.

What about cialis/viagra pills I got off the internet? can I put than in my luggage or will I get executed for drug trafficking? >.>

You actually have to check alcohol in your luggage. You won’t be able to hand carry it on the plane since it exceeds the 1 oz fluid limit.

There is a limit of how much liquor you can carry in (1 or 2 bottles) though.

I’m not sure why you would hand carry booze into Taiwan unless it was something rare. there’s a lot of booze here and breaking that bottle would be a horrendous mess in your luggage. You can get most of the standard hard liqours (at least from the US) at Carrefour (a supermarket). If you go to an actual liqour store there are even more options.

OH PEOPLE I AM GOING TO TAKE IT OUT OF TAIWAN.
CAUSE MY FRIEND GAVE IT TO ME AND IM NOT GONA DRINK IT ON THE SPOT THE DAY BEFORE IM LEAVING SO I GOTTA TAKE IT WITH ME.
SORRY MY BAD.

checked luggage, small amount into HK, no problem. Hand carry, no-no.

AND IS IT BOTHERING U THAT MUCH?

This pretty much, any liquid on hand carry basically is a no-no. The issue almost always is reaching the final destination country, where the customs law dictates how much liquor you can bring in (a bottle is 90% of the times ok).
