Does anyone have the link for this fight? All of the Youtube links are dead.
I don’t know the result so pretty please, with a fucking cherry on top, don’t spoil it yet.
Ideas?

search deeper my friend. i watched it last night…
just you tubed ‘kimbo tank’ was on the 1st or 2nd page…
Disappointing.
you think? i reckon ‘predicatble’ is a better description
Ya, that was a bit disappointing.
What a terrible fight! Worse yet, Tank landed square on his mug. WTF? Honestly, at his age, he should concentrate on Sunday football, beer and the bar.
Kimbo, on the other hand, looks ready to take on bigger and better opponents.
Kimbo is a very frightening man. Even just watching him from the safety of my apartment on my computer monitor, he scares the shit out of me.
He does look a bit gnarly, eh?! But what gets me most about that guy is his sportsmanship. He always checks on the guys he’s beaten to see if they’re alright and that it’s just what it is - a paid fight. In my book, he’s one stellar dude in the ring. Dunno him though I have a feeling he’s a good guy.

Ya, I kind of get that impression of him too, seems like he’s got his head in the right place and operates with integrity.
What do you think about the fight video of him where that cop dude actually beats him? That’s one nasty fight.
Kimbo is a great guy, both of you are right. Used to see him roaming around Miami all the time, and once you get over the intimidation factor and chat with him you realize this very quickly. However, intimidating is an understatement when you are next to that cat. And very smart as well, if rumor is right, he was on a full academic scholarship to UM.
Great guy though and I was overly-joyed to see him knock Tank on his ass!

Gannon technically beat Kimbo and I think that’s the bottom line. Although, I’m damn sure Gannon was avoiding the bathroom mirror for a couple of weeks. Jesus, he was hurt. Kimbo has a head like a concrete wall. I remember the first fight video I had seen of him where he fights a dude similar in size and purportion. That dude landed a few shots where Kimbo stood there, put his hands down and called him on. He took two on the chin, then ended up severely damaging that dude’s eyeball. What a fuckin’ mess that guy was after the fight. Christ almighty it was nasty.

I really do enjoy hearing that big guys like him and I try to be patient, and caring towards people. However, I hate it when the little twerps get riled and try to go big guys then cry “bully” when they have their asses handed to them. Off topic, I know. Appologies.
Solid dude, but not nearly in as good a shape he’ll need to be to make it in the UFC. After 5 minutes with Gannon, he was exhausted. The kind of guy to put all his eggs in the same basket, and that’s all played out in the first two-three minutes.
I would love to see him fight some of the big boys in the UFC. I think few of them would get past the first few minutes against Kimbo. He’s a dangerous man.

While I would have agreed with you awhile ago; I do believe that Kimbo has the right coach in Baas Rutten. Baas is a fucking legend. Kimbo has come a long long way from his internet, undergroud fighting days. In 2 years or less he has made a name for himself, gained a capable coach and has won all of his fights. Granted he doesn’t have the ring experience or the technical arts side of it but he’s well on his way to becoming great. More so than I think Brock Lesnar will ever be. Brock has a solid wrestling backgroun in Roman Greco but doesn’t seem to have the hands to keep up with the new talent. Kimbo does. Kimbo is also a fucking machine with an iron jaw.
I don’t doubt that Kimbo’s a great guy and that he looked OK against Tank, who looked like he was drunk. So far, there has been no test of his ability that has any meaning. That’s why he hasn’t been picked up by a major league. There are all kinds of people fighting in the major leagues from unconventional backgrounds. The problem is that they tend to go down against real combat athletes. Aside from a few fights that Tank won when he first started fighting, and then his fight against Cabbage a few years back, no top MMA fighter has ever lost to one of these unconventional fighters.
Well Scott, let’s hope this guy gets a chance. At the very least, he deserves it. He’s put himself out there for all to see on the internet and has gone out there and competed in the ring. Simple as that. He’s getting recognition from someone, even you, have to respect (Rutten). Come on.
While I respect your geriaTRICKS and spoken word…I’d be hard pressed to bet for you in a fight where no holds are barred. Drop your hoidy toidy shit and admit to somethings. When new talents walk into the picture; give him some respect. Baas has. Baas, one of the greatest Sanda fighters of all time and a vicious competitor, has stood up for him. Jeeez…you have to notice him yourself, right? I do…
I appologize for coming off as an uber cunt once again when some of you deserve respect, like you. But I hate it when you downplay talent when you’re weighing it for yourself in an obvious manner.
I’m a Kimbo fan because he has been noticed, tried, and is still standing. Untill he royally fucks the dog, I’m going to say that he’s probably one of the best unknown talents this sport has seen in a long time. Brock is looking like a lug while Kimbo is looking good.
Andy Wong might be great for Taiwan…and I know I’m shitting in my own backyard but we all saw how he took his lumps too. Baas hasn’t even come close to defeat like Andy had. Fuck, while I like Gordan and his attitude, he hasn’t had ring experience in the same manner Andy has. So whom are we judging here and toward what gyms and prowess? Come on. One day maybe…now…ya’ll are still walking towards it.

You could very well be right. I hope you are because I think Kimbo deserves a shot at some of the toughest guys out there, and they better be ready for the first round… at the very least.

i think a good example of this is that trash talking fella tank has/had on his street fight crew. he was viscious and tough but when pitted against a legit boxer he lost it… couldnt go the distance. i cant find the youtube links to the fights they had but will dig em out later
Yeah, Gannon did TECHNICALLY beat Kimbo, but it all boiled down to conditioning. I have heard people say that Kimbo got his ass handed to him, however I could be wrong, but I think Gannon got the worst of it and Kimbo simply just ran out of juice. I am not a big guy to say the least and both would absolutely slaughter me, but I think I could take the punches both of them were throwing during the last few minutes of the match. Neither of them had any thing left at all, and Gannon just had enough energy to keep standing.
That was the first fight I saw of him after I arrived on this island, and I said to myself, shit I know this cat. Was quite surprised to see him fight, and even more surprised to see him do what he did in that fight. I knew he was big and bad, but not like that.
