I’ve been trying to find a tanning bed in Taiwan. So far I’ve had very little luck. If anyone knows where one is please let me know, the closer to Xizhu the better.

Not anymore, they don’t. GM told me that tanning was just too much of a hard sell in the land of “white is right”. 
Where would one find a tanning lamp, rather than a bed, to buy?
I tend to wander around naked at home, and it would be nice to keep the tan up by having a lamp on in the lounge when I’m home.

As you probably know they relate the darkness of your skin to farm workers. Besides, Taiwan is unlike Europe or most of North America in that even in the winter you can sun bathe without feeling cold, so there is no need for a tanning bed in the winter. Just wait a few days after this typhoon passes the sun will be out again. I don’t think there are enough foreigners here to even keep this type of business going. Finally, you will get a lot of compliments from the locals if your are whiter than they are.
If you must find a tanning bed, either import it from abroad or look for manufacturers of this product in Taiwan. Almost everything in the world is made here and perhaps a google search can find a company that makes these that might be able to tell you where to buy one here.

I specifically chose an apartment that Maoman can’t see into, just down the hill from Jenn.
You might try climbing up the forested hill half a mile away. I’m quite high up so there isn’t really anywhere else to get a good look from. I think Alien has a picture somewhere of me naked. You could always ask her.

There is one on ZHongXiao east road next to the ICBC … there is a rolex store on the corner… close to YanJi street.

I think that Taipei gym was the best deal for tanning, but I’ve forgotten how much it was. Check them out though and report back.
The beauty store chain “Natural Beauty” also offers tanning. They have a number of stores around Taipei. Their prices for facials etc are OK, not sure about tanning though.
