I recently went to DaLi, just north of DaHsi. You can see FuLung from the top of the grassy meadows. I really liked the hike, and the view from
the peak. It took five hours, and it’s all stone steps. I believe it was built by Taiwanese slaves under Japanese rule in the forties.
There’s a small road that leads up to the peak, but we started from the Ocean, and we just took our time. One really doesn’t want to walk up
in the heat of summer. The best hikers return down because of the severe heat of summer, so winter is the only time to go up there.
