Tapioca Pudding

I used to use Kraft instant tapioca, but I haven’t been able to find it recently. That got me thinking about making tapioca pudding the old-fashioned way. Where’s a good place to buy tapioca, and what’s a good brand? I’m concerned about the recent food scandals and how that may affect local tapioca, so I’d like to get something safe.

Also, can I just use any ol’ recipe on the internet, or is there some special requirements for making pudding with local tapioca?


You should be able to buy tapioca at some of the DIY stores mentioned in this thread. However, the beads are larger than the Kraft style and it’s all old fashioned way. The internet has some good recipes. I often see tapioca flour in the supermarkets but that sounds gross.
