Tariffs, trade war

I can tell by your comments that you don’t have a varied taste in beer. Whenever someone says that American beer is only Budweiser, it usually indicates they drink like one beer and have for a decade.

Murphy’s Irish Stout is better than Guinness in my opinion, even I enjoy a Guinness too

For USA, it’s so different in different states, some areas have good craft beer’s, while some states are terrible and only drink canoe :canoe: beer

Nah. Your crystal ball is broken.

Some years ago I did a road trip from Michigan to Washington. The very first stop after we crossed the border I asked the waitress what beers they had, she said, direct quote:

“We got regular beer. Bud, bud light”

There was one good craft beer in Boulder, but otherwise it was a tour of mediocrity.

Most of what is available globally is Budweiser. That’s a fact.

My go-to beers have changed just since I came to Taiwan. Here I’m now mostly drinking Japanese lagers (was Bar, now Kirin, sometimes Asahi or Sapporo if they are cheaper) but I get wheat beers on occasion. On draft in Taiwan I like Stella

Kalle already called it out.

Many on the list of top selling worldwide, including #1, are Colorado beers.

Oregon has some good ones too.

I was going to guess you drink lager.

If was gonna guess that you were gonna guess that

It fits. I drink lagers is like saying I’m a coffee connoisseur because I drink frappucinos.

Nothing wrong with a good lager though…

Lager, Stout, bitter, IPA … There are good ones of each type, bad ones too

Yes there are some good ones.

And they’re actually the most difficult to brew since you have to brew cold and strictly control your temp.

It’s more of an archetype of a certain type of beer drinker.

I like fried chicken, too

Any tariffs on US chicken?

I had a Taiwan Beer honey brew a few weeks ago. Made me regret trying Taiwan Beer again.

Not that complicated surely? There are no public uprisings to take down the government. Yet suddenly the chinese populace is known for being hard asses?

I read that as the Chinese government was gonna play hardball in the negotiations. @tommy525, was I right?

I like a cold Japanese lager myself.

Not sure why us lager drinkers are so looked down upon :joy:

US beer is like drinking watered down cats piss. Also, fancy states in the Rockies or the west coast aren’t that representative of the US as a whole… point in case just look who is president at the moment.

Agree for the macrobrews, but not the microbrews.

No, you can find fancyass craft beers all over the U.S., not just hipster enclaves on the Left Coast and urban Northeast.
