Teaching English in prisons

Is anybody involved in teaching English in prisons in Taiwan?

I’m not sure if they need one as there are a few foriengers in the mix. I once had an experience of meeting a guy (in Bangkok) who had just got out of 8 years in a Taiwanese jail. He even asked me to go there and deliver some food and books to they guys there.

I thought they had a separate jail for foreigners?

Apparently not. Most foreigners in prison here are in Guishan township in Taoyuan County, but they only form about 6% of the total number of prisoners in that jail.

There is an Alien Detention Center in Sanxia for people being deported.
