hi, I’m planning a trip to Taipei in the end of January for one month. if i like it i would like to stay.
i would like to see if there are any opportunities in teaching English, or other jobs such as interpreter (bilingual in English and mandarin). I saw an ad here that one can make, teaching English, 550 to 600 an hour if you sign a one year contract with guaranteed hours of 80, with free single room housing. Is that a pretty good deal or is the going rate a lot more if you go out on your own? Would it be hard for me to find work if I am Chinese? Thanks!
