My wife and I are planning to move to Taipei in 2011. I’m a high school science teacher (chemistry) in the UK, but have taught ESL in china for a couple of years in the past too.
I need some advice on what the likely science teaching job opportunities are - I have looked at the international schools, but not found many and would like more options; are there science teaching opportunities in bilingual schools, public / private schools? Or any other programs you can recommend?
Would the pay in these places be enough to support myself and my wife (she is planning on studying the GMBA at NTU) while we are in Taipei? I’m not looking to bank savings, just live comfortably in the city.
Any advice is much appreciated.
