My wife is ABT and is having her passport processed by a TECO office in the USA. We originally submitted her documents in early November and have yet to hear anything from the office. From what I understand, typical passport processing time is only about a week. Has anyone had a passport processed by a TECO in the USA recently? If so, how long did it take?
Expect months long delays. Especially at LA.
Due to the poor COVID situation in the US, TECOs are operating on a half capacity rotating shift system or working from home wherever possible. Some TECOs have already had staff infected, further reducing their capacity. Additionally, demand for passports and visas is at historical high levels at the moment. Processing will stop for the lunar new year week, compounding the backlog.

Thank you! I forgot about the additional delay for Lunar New Year. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer, since we sent in the paperwork in November.
