Temple Sex

Sex was an important part of Chinese religion back in the day (2,000 years ago or so). Lots of archeological evidence to support it too … fecundity cults and the like. There is even hard evidence of religious/sexual cults as recently as the Qing dynasty in Fujian (where many Taiwanese come from), known as the cult of Hu Tianbao 胡田寶 … and get this, it was a homoerotic cult who worshipped a rabbit god that was the protector god of men who loved boys. So, having sex in temples is nothing new for the Chinese/Taiwanese/Fujianese or whatever. The Chinese were quite open about sex until those damn Christian missionaries went over there and screwed everything up. :unamused:

The actuall situation does beg the question though: Who is more at fault? The western guy screwing the Chinese gal? Or the Chinese gal screwing the western guy? (Assuming of course this IS hetrosexual and there is a Taiwanese involved somewhere). Is there more than one couple at one time? Is this a shooting gallery for those who cannot control their erection?

Either way, I would have to have an extreme case of blue balls before I had sex in a temple of all places, after getting drunk in the bar next door. Doing drugs there is also not the smartest thing you could do while visiting a country so strict on illegal drugs. And I’m certainly no prude when it comes to adventure but…

Hmmmmm… :noway:

I have no reason to doubt you but i think it’s pretty safe to say that having sex in temples is something new for taiwanese people today in 2005.

as far as this, i really doubt it’s that simple.

It does?

Temple sex in ancient China thousands of years ago is about as relevant to the social standards in modern Taiwan as the temple prostitutes at the Delphi oracle in ancient Greece thousands of years ago are relevant to social standards in the modern West.

But wasn’t the night made for lovers?

just how “hard” is that evidence? are we talking fossilized boners here?

(sry very juvenile i know but its brightened up my tuesday morning no end…)

We Westernes just don’t understand their culture. But … there are “fertility” temples here…?

At least my wife drags me into some now and then.

[now I wait for the super brain to explain to me what the fertilitiy temples are meant for]

Classy. :loco:

The original post on this thread was most likely a troll.

People do no have sex in temples, who are you kidding?

A local love hotel next to Fusion lets out rooms for 2 hours for just NT$400. Just ask for “kukei”…

I didn’t find the content of the message cited in the original post at all difficult to believe.

I am increasingly less amazed when I see or hear of incidents of people disregarding the property or feelings of others.

I thought I was the only one?

The foreigners having sex in the temple were caught on tape and according to the owners of Fusion, have been identified. They threatened to out their names and nationality if any more trouble is caused. They claim that they had to pay compensation to the temple as an apology.

I’m looking forward to seeing these jerks outed. Yes, you, whoever you are.

“Ooh, it’s so exciting to fuck in a temple, makes me so high.”

Yeah, till you get caught, you fothermucker.

Your Politically Correct censoring is cowardly.
Your Politically Correct censoring is cowardly.
What censoring ? Are you referring to this uncensored and intact (not sure why though) post: [Bai-bai the Nami Nami Nami Nami Nami! ?

I hope you are feeling very silly indeed after that.

Compensation for what? I would think an apology would be ok. I wouldn’t pay a cent but I wouldn’t be having sex in there maybe just getting head. But still, I would just apologize and hope that some religious fanatic doesn’t try and kill me. To get caught on tape would be rough though but great material to post on the big screen!

This confirms it’s a troll. If this is really news, then it will be on TV and in Apple Daily already. But it’s not. Trollville. With comments like this:

“Many people have contacted us and asked that we turn these people’s
photos over to the police. Hell, maybe we should add their sex video
to the Fusion website! …The only problem with this would be that when
the Taiwanese see the size of the penises on these two men…”

urban legend! part 10,111

I’ve had sex in a graveyard in my own country. And guess what? The girl was Chinese and a foreigner (damn foreigners!). It was great fun! But we were 17, I guess we had an excuse.

But screwing in a temple in Taiwan apparently is not on. I can see how that would offend greatly. By the same token, gambling in a church back home would be considered much more offensive than two teenagers humping in the graveyard. That’s just the way it is. The temple is private property anyway, so it’s doubly not on.
