Thailand delists marijuana as narcotic

It was a rhetorical question

I prefer Sabbath, but I don’t think they’re necessarily better than Pink Floyd. Very different bands.

I would say at this point there are a lot more Sabbath songs I like. But it’s subjective!

The Floyd every day of the week.

That’s how I feel. But damn, David Gilmour did put on some great shows. So different from Sabbath (Hand of Doom is sounding good these days for me).

The idea that liberalizing cannabis laws would cause youth use to sky rocket has largely been unfounded in other countries. Most studies have shown it’s not significantly changed and even slightly decreased in some studies in certain places.

The only thing that has been a real concern is kids eating edibles on accident. But even then, these ā€œpoisoningā€ don’t result in anything like death.

Maybe we see a slight increase in Thailand because it was so strict before.

They are both great but from a legacy perspective, I’d say BS because they pioneered the hard shit, along with groups such as the Stooges. So ahead of their time. Pink Floyd’s music is good but they weren’t pioneering in the same way.

Uh, psychedelia and prog rock are pretty pioneering genres to be in on the ground floor. I agree that Iggy & the Stooges were better than Sabbath. Anyway, the correct answer is Led Zeppelin. We good now?

Good points, I just think prog rock (e.g., Moody Blues, PF) and psychedelia (too many to mention) weren’t as groundbreaking as Stooges or BS.

Yeah, one made some good music

Huh, didn’t see that coming. But might be mostly talk, we’ll see…

Thailands tourism industry is sliding as well. Not sure what they’re thinking

I have also read that they will tighten alcohol laws again (hours that can be purchased).

The ruling party had a coalition with the party that pushed legalization, but the weed party left in protest of the PM’s handling of Cambodia. There was a skirmish on the border, and a leaked phone call…

So, we’ll see… at least some of this is levers and power plays and distractions related to Cambodia, I think. When the dust settles we’ll see what we see…

I propose that we all head to Thailand with our doctor’s notes, do however many bong hits we want / need (very limited, in my case), and debate the great philosophical Floyd / Sabbath controversy while listening to Floyd / Sabbath at age-appropriate volume levels, and somehow never coming to blows with one another despite the differences in opinion over… I forget exactly.

I disagree with your proposed course of action

I think it’s an excellent plan.

Then we sir have a difference of opinion over which to not come to blows.

OK, but I hope you’re as high as I am ha ha

They threatened this before with the government change.

Thailand already has gone far more Muslim (as has Singapore and malaysia) in terms of alcohol restrictions. I was in Thailand last year and was shocked at how strict they had become with times and locking refrigerators. Even in the chappy tourist slums, I used to only see that in southern Thailand and rural areas where Muslims run nearly everything.
