David Hasselhoff: The dream of all German mother-in-laws during the nineties. The singer of those very popular songs that I’ve forgotten the name of :? I can faintly remember the name, as all this happened before my family had access to private tv channels. I love Hugh Grant’s victorian accent… and I hate Jim Carrey in the Cable Guy, and the dumb and dumber… Won’t even watch even if I get paid… But he earned my new respect in “Majestic” I’ll probably watch that new “Bruce Almighty” he stars with Morgan Freeman. ax ---

But the phrase should be, “I wouldn’t watch it , even if you paid me.” Or “You couldn’t pay me to watch it.” The underlined can be switched out to eat, do, try, etc… ---

Um, David Hasselhoff also played Snapper, beloved brother of Brock or Jock or Doc, on Young and the Restless in the 70s. He still maintains a rather envious head of hair to this day. I just want to understand his magnetic appeal in Germany. Do you think it’s the hair? He’s actually better known as a rock star there, than ACTOR. ---

The original poster mentioned Steven Segal … I saw that twat at CKS a few years back, when he was in town to promote some movie about a tough guy saving the eskimos from the oil industry, or something like that. He was wearing a heavily tassled jacket-like leather thingy, and cowboy boots, and seemed to have trouble passing through immigration. Sadly, he is the only celebrity sighting – good or bad – I have managed in Taiwan. ---
