Just for the record I believe a woman has the right to decide whether she wants an abortion because it’s her body. I also believe though that I shouldn’t be made complicit in taking the life of an unborn child by being forced to pay for it.
I believe that as well, just as I also believe that I shouldn’t be complicit in murdering millions of living adults & children due to our Forever Wars. We pay our taxes and can’t just pick & choose how our money is spent.

Can you compare the times Jesus talks about prohibiting abortion in the Bible vs the times he talks about caring for the poor and sick? Which happens more often? Which does he seem to think is more important? Thanks in advance.
There’s no mention of abortion in the Gospels just as there’s no mention of abortion in the U.S. Constitution. My guess is that’s because abortion wasn’t such a hot button issue back then like poverty and sickness were. The one time the Gospels do mention an unborn child though they seem to affirm the baby’s humanity:

And the other side of it? Jesus does talk about taking care of the sick and the poor, constantly, right? So your post regarding Jesus and the hill worth dying in, in regards to ending the shutdown over the Hyde amendment, vs providing wider access to health insurance, feels a little backwards, no?
In addition to abortion Jesus didn’t talk about euthanasia, war, genocide, homosexuality, capital punishment and a long list of other ethical issues during the three years of his earthly ministry. The fact that he didn’t mention those issues didn’t mean they weren’t important and there wasn’t more to learn from him about them:

Two decisions by the Texas governor this week, including directing authorities to investigate an Islamic organization, come as the state sees an increase in anti-Muslim rhetoric.
Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas has announced a flurry of steps this week aimed at thwarting Islamic groups in the state, moves that both worry and baffle Muslims and religious experts.
On Tuesday, he declared that the Council on American-Islamic Relations, one of the nation’s largest Muslim advocacy and civil rights groups, was a foreign terrorist organization, an accusation the group said had no basis in fact. The following day, he directed law enforcement officers to investigate an Islamic organization in Dallas, saying the group was illegally enforcing Islamic “Shariah law” in the state.
