The Best Movies of 2006

It is near the end of 2006, about time to choose the best or worst of movies.

My best movies of 2006 (released in Taiwan)

“C.R.A.Z.Y.” by Jean-Marc Vallée
“Volver” by Pedro Almodóvar
“Broken Flowers” by Jim Jarmusch
“Caché” by Michael Haneke
“Match Point” by Woody Allen
“Brokeback Mountain” by Ann Lee
“Good Night. And, Good Luck” by George Clooney
“The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada” by Tommy Lee Jones
“Requiem” by Hans-Christian Schmid
“Hotel Rwanda” by Terry George

(No specific order)

Mm…So many films for heart-broken viewers.

sorry…I change my mind.

I would like to replace “Hotel Rwanda” with “The Wind That Snakes through the Barley” by Ken Loach.

It is really hard to choose only 10 films. :stuck_out_tongue:

So you were one of the 15 people who saw it? It’s a shame that it came and went in a week’s time. A great film about friendship and redemption. Definitely one of the top films this year.

I am probably the 16th moviegoer who has seen it.
Sorry…I don’t know who are the rest 15 people.
It is great to see it in cinemax, but it is available for rent if you want to see it.

But my favorite is his “Lonesome Dove.” One of my classic western drama.

Movies I enjoyed the most:

V for Vendetta
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest
Flyboys
The Departed
The Prestige
Casino Royale

Pending (not seen yet but 2006 release): Blood Diamond

Here is a comprehensive list in case you need to refresh your memory as I did.

I second the two:
V for Vendetta
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest

Rocky Balboa

This is a cool site where you can watch some of those movies: movies.peekvid.com without having to download them. Just click and watch.
