The closest breakfast/brunch place to Denny's

Hey guys,

I’m a big fan of waffles (made with milk/eggs - soft, big, and poofy … most in TW is just made with water and powder, so it’s “eggo” quality lol) and big puffy pancakes with MAPLE SYRUP (rare). Skinny, crispy bacon (not the limp “ham bacon”). Decent price.

What is the closest place to Denny’s here that is as Americanized as possible? I’m missing USA breakfast, mmmm…

I don’t know Denny’s (isn’t that garbage?) but The Diner in Taipei does a pretty good job of that sort of thing.

LOL ok i’ll check out the diner – yea, Denny’s is usually defined as garbage, but the Hawaii one is awesome. So maybe better worded, “a classier Denny’s”

Seconding The Diner… though it’s a lot classier than any diner you’ve ever been to in the States. Also check out Grandma Nitti’s Kitchen on Shida Rd.

Not sure where you’re located but Taipei is filled with so many brunch places that serve all-day breakfast. The Diner, NY Bagels, Evan’s Burgers, Cafe Cafe (AKA, the original Diner), Second Floor Cafe, Dazzling Cafe (for fancy type waffles), Carnegie’s, Swensen’s (kinda meh though), and many other independent coffee shop style restaurants where you can find a good brunch.

If you’re looking for something in Taipei that’s exactly like Denny’s, you’ll probably be disappointed. However, the good news is that with such a wide variety of brunch places you’ll be pleasantly surprised at what’s available. Trust me because I could probably eat breakfast for every meal of the day!
