The DNC’s 2022 Midterm Freeforall Thread

A lot going on and one dumpster for all of it seems reasonable.

Speaking of dumpsters, gonna needn’t fee for the dead babies, as the dems seem to be spending BIG on it:

In political races around the country, Democrats have focused their advertising dollars on abortion. An Associated Press analysis of data from AdImpact, a nonpartisan research firm, estimated that by mid-September the party had sunk $124 million into ads referring to the issue. “That’s more than twice as much money as the Democrats’ next top issue this year, ‘character,’ and almost 20 times more than Democrats spent on abortion-related ads in the 2018 midterms,” the AP reported. NPR determined this month using AdImpact’s data that Democrats spent $73 million on TV ads about abortion in September alone.

Dems on crime are in deep shinola:

The hard truth for criminal-justice reformers is that violent offenses are far more prevalent among America’s prisoners. At the state level—where nine in ten prisoners are incarcerated—almost 60 percent of inmates committed violent crimes. Roughly 143,000 people are imprisoned for convictions related to sexual assault and 155,000 for homicide, compared with 146,000 for all drug crimes combined. The idea that America’s “mass” incarceration is a result of drug crimes is absurd.

The Myth of the Nonviolent Drug Offender | City Journal

In an era of rising violent crime and increased attention to public safety, the reform movement will not survive unless it admits that the reality of the criminal-justice system is far more complex than the activists’ refrains suggest. Most importantly, reformers’ priorities need to account for violent crime and create workable solutions for making prisons better, rather than continuing to indulge the dangerous fantasy of abolition.

We’ve lost a few kids around here to gun violence and stabbing post the 2020 BLM riots and the calls for defunding . High school kids a few years ago. Progressive reforms are not working or not working nearly fast enough. I bet on the former.

So nobody was stabbed before BLM? And calls for de-funding led to stabbings? Just curious how you tie this all together and blame democrats.

Put the old man in power, pull the strings and run. It’s a burning bag of dog shit strategy. Ring ring

Ooops

Some irony here.

Not really. It appears sloppy but accidental, they admitted it was inappropriate, an he removed the tweet. vs basically saying fuck it. If they continue to flagrantly do it, then they’ll be some irony.

That said, ethics and coi rules for politicians and political appointees are a freaking joke, with almost no teeth and need to change.

No? Biden’s whole thing about the Hatch Act? We have a different sense and or understanding of irony then.

No. They at least care enough to acknowledge it, admit it was inappropriate, and take down the post. No administration is ever going to be vaguely close to pristine in behavior, but how an administration responds to inappropriate actions by its staff matters. How are you seeing this as irony?

Looks more like point scoring.

Ah yes, the old “I’m sowwy” the Dems pull out when they simply can’t back out or deny. Works for Hatch Act violations and black face alike.

ANywho, back to the leader of the PAC:

But, we all knew this, right?

No one is safe from crime in America, or is this more imaginary crime with an imaginary hammer?

And this:

How are black voters shifting right and crime in America related?

This would be funny if it weren’t so infuriating:

More in MR. Pelosi and the hammer attack.

The intruder who attacked Mr. Pelosi in the couple’s San Francisco home confronted him, shouting, “Where is Nancy, where is Nancy?,” according to a person briefed on the situation who spoke to AP on condition of anonymity.

Fucking hell

From Berkeley, into nudism and hemp jewelry making, and grew up in British Columbia, Canada :canada:, and the bloody press is trying to tie him to the right?

Sounds like a leftist troublemaker to me!!! Very sad that this is the violence now associated with SF—think they need law and order big time.

He appears to be a man who had long lived on the extremes of left-wing Bay Area society before descending down a rabbit hole of conspiracy theories spanning support of the notorious QAnon movement and 2020 election deniers.

What happened? I thought the right really cared about mental illness.

That’s some mental illness, apparently arrested in his underwear. What a weirdo, who breaks into someones house dressed in their underwear?

Ted is not amused.

Very odd this happened given this tweet
@pnjaban
My firm served a lawsuit against Paul Pelosi one time in SF after attempting to serve at other residences—Napa, Georgetown. They weren’t home, but staff were, & multiple law enforcement officers were on the perimeter. Break-in is odd given this level of security.
