The Grumpy Guide to Driving

If you’re a fan of all the other Grumpy shows you’ll enjoy this one.

If you don’t know the series at all, they interview a bunch of middleaged Brits, often comedians, on various topics. Historic footage included, funny bits from classic British sitcoms, on the subject, that kind of thing. It started with Grumpy Old Men, then Grumpy Old Women. Worth watching if you haven’t alredy.

This episode that tackles cars and driving can be found on the BBC website, but your IP address has to be seen as a UK one.
So I’ve watched it streaming from here: videozer.com/video/WOucvpu2

Funny as always.

They cover topics of:
men and women in cars together
meter maids and tickets
road rage
cyclists
repairs and mechanics
road congestion
sat nav
road signs
and of course, since it’s British, Fifth Gear.

Top Gear, Luvvy, Top gear.
If you’re going to get yourself caught up in the realms of men-only forums, like IP and Cars and Motorcycles, at least allow yourself the ability to differentiate between your Top Gears and your Fifth Gears.

Nice show. Thx

Yeah yeah, whatever. Except they’re a bunch of YOUNG-ISH Brits, goddammit! :fume: But god! It really DOES take me back to summer holidays on the island of Mull and that always-memorable 5-hour drive in the monkey-shit brown Zephyr 4 from Fife to Oban with five kids in the back seat. Ahhh! Memories!

Hans, there is a Top Gear (BBC) AND a Fifth Gear (ITN or whatever).

carry on.

You know what, I did think they were youngish at first, but then one of the official descriptions of the show caught my eye somewhere and it said “middleaged”
Yeah, isn’t it great to think back to those days, first experiences with cars. Most of mine were puke filled, but still.

Uro, not sure the name of the show, but it’s the one with the obnoxious host, tall guy with curly hair. Almost as annoying as Oprah.

Definitely Jeremy Clarkson then.

Edit: Top Gear.
