I’m glad that Democrat politicians are finally engaging the anti-Semitic wing of their party, which is still growing.
Recently listened to a podcast with UVa Civil War prof Gary Gallagher. I swear, it’s as if George McClellan is still in charge of the Democrats.
So many strong rhymes between McClellan’s party leadership 1863-64 and the DNC 2024-26. The inability to perceive clearly reality, the vitriolic fomenting, the unwillingness to cultivate and support national unity, the inability to foresee political violence.
Opposition to Israel, its genocide, or our enabling of and support for it gets you called anti-Semitic sooner or later.

I’m hearing more Americans who are saying ugly things about Jews, not Israelis. More and more I talk with people who forego the fancy debate language re:Zionism and are willing to say what they mean. I hear it in bars, I overhear it in restaurants, I hear it at baseball games, I hear it in the gym.
I think Democrats will lose the battle to paper it all over with their PC distinctions between Zionism and the Jews, seems to be getting outside their control.
You’re always referring to something that’s not actually being discussed. You think that these people you hear (I don’t) represent a wing of the Democratic party that’s being “taken on”?
I think they represent a growing number of Americans period. These bits of conversations, nobody prefaces them with a statement about which party they belong to.

What I think I hear, especially in bars, is more akin to a transfer of frustration (with their lives, with their situation) onto a group no longer protected by the PC police. Also known as classic anti-Semitism.
