The "IGNORE" function (keeps posts from designated posters hidden)

Can’t ignore Moderators.
Original Title: Why can’t I find an ignore button for Tigerman?

I would like to ignore all of Tigermans posts, but don’t see an ignore button? Has it been decided that his posts should not be ignored by the regular users?
Just avert your eyes.

I am having the weirdest sense of D

No, it is the way the Ignore function is designed. And in my opinion, this is appropriate. Regular members should always be aware of what moderators write since it could be something that affects their posting and their use of the forums

“Uhhhyeeaaahhhh…I’m gonna have to go ahead and qualify that by saying that as long as ‘mods’ refrain from engaging in troll-like, snarky and insulting posts that an ignore button for them would not be needed.
We all understand that the ‘mods’ do this on their own time and its usually a thankless job that subjects them to much unpleasant scrutiny and endless 2nd-guessing of their actions. The guidelines set-up should be applicable to all, ‘mods’ included’. With this standard being acknowledged, much questioning of a ‘mods’ decisions might be averted and their inforum life made just that much easier and more pleasant.
And I’m going to go ahead and take that stapler.”

If a moderator says things that cause people to want to ignore him or her, then they shouldn’t be a moderator. But I don’t think Tigerman is one of those people.

Or stay out of the IP forum, nice people don’t go in there.

Agree to that one.

You hardly ever see mere in there, and I am very nice, ain’t I?

IMO that is incorrect, it would be correct to say that regular members should be aware of what a moderator writes, when in the forum for which that person is the moderator, outside of that forum then they are to all intents and purposes regular members and we should be able to ignore the drivel that they post if we so wish.

I agree 100% :bravo: :bravo:

The IP forum is a valid argument for either the ability to ignore moderators (especially when their post rates are annoyingly high) or implimenting a way to ignore the entire IP forum. It would be ideal if nothing from the IP forum showed up in New Posts.

I am pretty sure that one could avoid any and ALL annoyances in IP by, say, not going into it.

And I will admit it does get heated in there, and I do get cranky at times too. Anytime I cross the line, you are free to squeal, or reveal the post(s) that you feel cross the line in the feedback forum.

I have a “mod” on my ignore list.
Still see their posts though…glitch in the program is what I’m hopin’…

A while back, I put somebody on my ignore list. I’ve tried to read some of his posts since by using the “unignore” button, but it doesn’t work at all. Hoe lyk dit. Can we fix it?

Can we see who is ignoring us?

I know that there is one poster who’s ignoring me. I’d like to know that for certain, though.

That would be a good thing. Posters who have 15 to 100 people ignoring them might stop and think for a second, “What did I do to piss so many people off?” and change their ways.

Good subject AAF. I can’t understand why no one else has posted on this thread. :idunno:

Can we fix it?
My problem is slightly different. There is a poster who wants to ignore me, but he can’t. Failure to have the ignore button option, the temptation is, I assume, too great. :s So he quotes me just about every time I post something in a controversial thread (He will actually find controversy where there isn’t any). The comments vary from saying that what I wrote is crap, that I’m mentally challenged, that I should not procreate, that I should let adults discuss adult matters, that I am a troll, etc, etc, etc. The list is endless.

You can also see posts from people you are trying to ignore when you click on the “24” button. It should block users out there as well.

Well, I contemplated slapping the odd poster on ignore, and it is possible not seeing those few could have been better, but being such a hippy at heart, I’d always wonder if they’d improve. Ir’s also a stupid empowerment, You are special cos I ignore you.

Then again, I have no idea who does have me on ignore, and on the scheme of care factor, I’d only reckon it was their losss.

Bottm line is, I ignore no one in partuclar, but I ignore lots of rubbish.

I’m done with [url=http://tw.forumosa.com/t/how-difficult-is-it-to-find-a-legit-position-in-taipei/61058/1 Does anybody know how to “ignore” certain users so I don’t see their threads? Is that possible? Could use a little help here. Freaking annoying.
