walking and cycling is pretty great in taipei for sure. i roam around the streets quite often and its not gotten old yet. and wow i never realised it was someones actual job to paint those electricity boxes. personally i would prefer he go paint somewhere else, looks like crap!
They also auction out the boxes to people if you want to paint one you can bid on it and paint it.
That explains the pandas on the boxes across my office. I always found them a bit ironic.
